Dave here. Well we've now reached 37 weeks. Isn't she huge? And beautiful? According to the internet, the baby has now reached "full term." This means there's not a whole lot of difference between it arriving now or in three weeks. It's been an incredible experience watching Wendy change and grow. I've never seen her so happy for such an extended period. I hope that this can continue after the baby arrives and we're both exhausted, etc. . . .
I'm really excited. Every day at school the students ask "Has your baby come yet?" They're getting a bit impatient with us. I keep telling them, "you'd know if it came, because I wouldn't be here". That said, I think I'm getting impatient too. It's strange to have Wendy attaining this bond with the baby that can't really be shared until it arrives. However I'm torn, because I'm so excited to meet this little one, but I don't know that I'm really ready for fatherhood. I guess you never are ready until it arrives. Also, I'm really enjoying my relaxing nights with Wendy. I know these won't ever really be there again until the baby and its future siblings leave for college. I'm excited to go on the roller coaster, but it's a scary ride with lots of responsibility. Should be fun!!!
