Many of you may wonder why this is a big deal because you thought that I was already in such a program. In the USA, Nurse Practitioner programs are divided into specialties and I had chosen to solely specialize in Psychiatry. I realized over the year of studying that I am much better suited for a role that encompasses broader practice parameters. As a result, I needed to get into a program that would provide me with this type of education. Luckily, I will be able to add on the ANP curriculum to my current plan at the same institution. I feel very, very fortunate and I am finally excited about my future career path.
We spent the weekend in Vancouver visiting with family and exploring the new transit system. Anna loves trains!
Unfortunately we forgot our camera last night but our friends Melinda and Brian had us over for an amazing dinner to continue the birthday celebration. I finished it off this morning out to a fabulous breakfast with Ruthe at Chinooks (I would also recommend for kid and not kid families- very good food and fast service).
I feel very lucky. Thanks for the great birthday.
Wendy
