This year, Dave and I celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. We can hardly believe it...five years has gone by very fast. But when I look back at all that has happened in that period of time, I guess it makes sense!
We were so lucky this year to have the opportunity to take some time out of our busy lives and really relish in the act of celebration and reflection. Our wonderful friends Cor and Alyson had a gift certificate for the Salish Lodge that they were not able to use so we jumped on the chance to get away for a mid week soiree. We had so much fun. From relaxing in our beautiful room to drinking fancy beverages at the restaurant, we enjoyed ourselves thoroughly.
We followed the Salish excursion with our planned trip to Salt Spring Island. We rented out the cutest little cottage and enjoyed several days of cycling, relaxing and enjoying each other's company. It is amazing how many interesting conversations that can be had when one has the time and energy to engage with another human. So lovely.
Thanks to both sets of Grandparents for allowing our getaways to happen!
