Anniversary Hike

Dave and I spent our anniversary weekend enjoying a beautiful hike near Stevens Pass. These pictures (that I got from the web) give you an idea of what Lake Valhalla looks like. We would have taken pictures but our camera recently went for a little swim (oops). Despite the fact that Dave and I need to work on our camping readiness, (we forgot utensils so we ended up sharing a huge ladle. We would have also not been able to cook if we had not picked up a lighter at the gas station. Oh I almost forgot that we came close to starting a mini forest fire due to a stove or operator malfunction...)we had a great time. I am always reminded of how much I love the forest, even if I am only out for one night. I am looking forward to more of these activities this summer.

Looks like a beautiful hiking area.
You were both very versatile with swapping utensils --maybe you are on to something don't take any and just use one ladel for everything!
Being out in nature is so revitalizing to the soul.
