Someone once told me that cats sleep 18 of every 24 hours. Well I think I am part cat. Two days ago I basically slept 17 of the 24 hours that the day had to offer. To be fair, I had worked night shift (7pm-7am). I came home and slept from 8am-5pm. I had originally wanted to get up at 3:30 but I was so tired that I slept until 5pm. So I got up and got ready to go to work. But, I got a call from work asking if I wanted to stay home because they had enough nurses (this is called 'comp time', it is when you use benefit time to stay home--I love it). Well of course I said yes to this and enjoyed a nice evening with Dave. However, when midnight rolled around, I was ready to go back to sleep. I fell asleep right away and slept right through until 7am the next day. Needless to say, I think that I needed the sleep!!!! Thankfully, this month is my last month of night shift EVER. I was able to obtain a day shift position so as of next month I will no longer be flipping back and forth every month (yippie)!!!!
